Matador history on its way to famous Oklahoma City museum

The Motley County Museum hosted curator Michael Grauer from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Okla., on April 22 to receive three key collections from Matador history— those of Mary Ellen “Dude” Barton, Shannon Davidson and H. H. Schweitzer— for this premier museum’s collections.

Highway 70 Garage Sales set for May 4

The annual Highway 70 Garage Sales is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, with more than 40 vendors signed up as of Monday along a 60-mile stretch of two-lane blacktop, according to co-organizer Joan Day of Spur.
